Want posi too? Head over to www.slponline.com and buy their Take-Off Torsen posi for $99. You can use it if your RS is a 90-92. Then go to the classifieds section of www.ls1.com or www.camaroz28.com and find someone selling their stock 3.42 gears. Lastly you'll need the speedo gears for 3.42 rear axle, which for an automatic are a 15 tooth drive gear, and a 41 tooth driven gear. Then you need to find a good shop to install this for you, because rear end work requires specialized tools and experience. Good luck!

Im Doin the Same Thing, Slowly But surely.
I bought used 3.42's for 50 bucks, they are in the Mail now.
As soon as I get paid agian, Im going to Pick up a Pair Of 28 spline axles ( something You wont have to worry about if Yours is a 90-92 ) And The Posi unit itself.
Then Sometime In Febuary, Ill be able to have someone put em Together

As to what's involved, if you're a beginner, you should take it to a shop, and have them do it. There's stuff involved like backlash and preload and more that requires special tools, plus, one mess-up, and your gears are toast.

It was Ede. He said he had some for me, but I have a 9-bolt with 3.45's, I cant use them, nor do I need them.[This message has been edited by Kevin91Z (edited January 04, 2001).]
