Does the Transgo kit allow 3-4 WOT shifts?
Ive seen this said a few times...when talking about the b&m vs. the gm upshift valve kit. People mentioned that the Transgo can do this. I do want WOT 3-4 shifts. I just ordered a Transgo kit so im wondering if I even have to get the GM upshift kit now.

Not unless you buy their 50 dollar valve that is identical to the GM one. You will see what I mean in the TransGo instructions. BTW TransGo does not give instructions on how to install their 4th gear WOT shift valve.

Are you kidding CamaroMike? I have this kit right in front of me. When the kit arrived, I opened it up to see what came with it (and watched the video also
). And yes, it does come with the upshift valve (and a servo assy similar to the 'vette one) and it does allow upshift to 4th at WOT (same as the GM unit). Plus the video and instructions show you how to put it in.
Do not buy anymore parts, the TransGo comes with everything (except a higher stall converter
). Now I might have to sell my 'vette servo because I don't need it.

Look in the goodies section there is a 4th gear WOT shift valve that is extra! The WOT valve is only for pre 87 transmissions. So you may have what you need already.

Damn, thats hella ****ty. I have a 91. Well at least it comes with the servo...and thanks for telling me that cause i was about to go get one. Damnit, I really wanted that WOT upshift valve. Another part to order, more money...it just never ends
NO NO NO! The pre 87 trannys require the WOT valve. The later models do not require the WOT shift valve. 87 and up will do a WOT shift with the basic TransGo kit. Get it?

You can just purchase the valve from GM, you don't need the shift kit to have an upshift at WOT from 3-4. I just thought I'd throw that in!

Thanks dan, i know you can just buy the valve. But i already purchased the shift kit because i wanted the shift kit...i just didnt want to have to buy the valve TOO...but now i know i dont have to
