700r4 -- no second gear.......
I know it's not a camaro but i have a 700r4 in a 90 K1500. It won't shift into second gear, it will shift directly to third if you bring the rpm's up and let off. But, if you manually put it in second it will rev up in first and never shift...if you let off the gas while reving first it will 'coast' (engine will idle down) and it won't shift if you step on the gas again it won't put any power to the wheels until you get back to the rpm you left off at.
When i burned up third it wouldn't skip to forth, so i don't know if i burned up the second gear clutchs or if it's a different problem.

Most likely you burned up your band. This is used in both 2nd and 4th gear. This is usually the main culprit when 2nd and 4th are gone.

Do you have reverse? Are you sure 4th is OK. its hard to believe that you have 4th if you don't have 2nd. Like Raven mentioned, 2nd gear shares the band w/ 4th gear, so if the band is toast, you don't have 4th either.
There is no "2nd gear clutch". The only difference between 1st gear and 2nd is the band, and it is shared by 4th gear. Are you sure its just not the TCC locking up in third?

guess it will have to wait until it warms up and i can tear it out, too much snow now and i have to plow with the truck. Figures, first time CT gets this much snow in a while and i have to limp my tranny thru plow season!!!

I had my 700r-4 lose overdrive(4th) and reverse (aghhhh what a nightmare!!!! that was!) its either the cable (tv) adjustment or the thing is screwed.

Mods: converted from T.B.I. to a carburator 305 to a 350. Flowmater exhaust,hedman shortie hedders,202 heads,350 horse cam,bored.40 over, Edlebrock torker2 intake.
Future mods 400 performer rpm intake (polished) and 600 edlebrock carb, comp roller cam, and way better heads. orpossibly a 383 stroker?
