Stupid Question
I've always used ramps to work on my car but anymore its just a pain in the @$$ since my wheels are so wide. So i bought a pair of jack stands. My question is...Is it safe to use jackstands on the axle and can you use them in the front. I've heard that if u do it wrong you can mess up your suspension. Thanks for any help

i put mine on the axle shafts in the rear, the swaybar is taking most of the load. In front, there is a lip that is on the control arms just outside of where they bolt to the subframe. my jackstands fit perfectly there.
hope this helps

No such thing as a stupid questions.....only stupid results from not asking!! I drive up two two-by-fours (length-wise), to give me room underneath for the hydraulic jack. Once in the air, I place a jack-stand under each lower control arm. Then I lower the jack. Same for the rear.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT JACK UP ONE CORNER OF THE CAR AT A TIME!!! A little bit won't hurt (like changing a tire, just enough), but do not jack it high to place a jackstand under, then go to the other side!! just my .02
