Will This T5 World Class withstand my Big Block 454 1969 Nova
Will a 1352-213 GM 1992 1/2 MY-F Work with big block?

I need to know if this is a World Class trans and is for a V8? I have a 1969 Nova with a new 454 30 over
Aluminum intake. New holley performance carb around 400 to 450 horse. Right now I have a Borg T10
Aluminum 4 speed with the fine clutch spline. I do not want to put a trans in here that is going to be weak.
I'm not a racer! But I will drive this car to it's potential occasionally . Just need to know which trans to use.
I really want the T5 as is it a top loader and no shift linkage and it's a five speed.

A T5 won't stand up to a good 305, much less a rat motor. If you want an internal rail shifted trans, go with a TKO or a T56.

A quick look at the output shaft will tell you if it's for a V8. It should have 26 splines, anything less it's not for a V8. The T5 and W/C T5 are fine transmissions but not anywhere near strong enough for your application.

no way. the T-5 is a good transmission but no way near the level that an engine that big is in. is this gonna be a street car, or a strip car or both?

Ive got a Borg T10 aluminum housing fine spline 4 speed and a turbo 400 and a turbo 350 that was in the car with a small block and the 350 and the auto trans that were in the car are souped to the max.... stall converter all the internal good parts and ther motor has $2500 worth of heads on it..... My friends dream was to have a big block .. I dont know what kind of trans he wanted
