Getting a T56 for my GTA!
I think I'm buying a '97 SS Camaro T56 in a few weeks. Has about 5k on it. Anything I need to worry about besides floor hole, crossmember, and speedo converter box? TIA!

Yeah, if you are switching from an automatic to a standard, you need to use some pedals from a hydraulic thirdgen or fourth gen. I just went to the salvage yard and got some manual pedals, but they were from a manual clutch linkage car. These will not work with the 6speed hydraulics.

Hot Rod Magazine just did that swap, and it showed everything that you needed to do it. it said something about the way the clutch (pushes or pulls)isnt the same between the two generations, and you have to do something to fix it, it was a good article, one of the better ones in hot rod actually, hope this helps. lil jay

GTA you don't have to do anything with shifter holes, might need a new boot but that might be it... if you have a T5 is basically a direct swap (you can spend about $250 and get a X-member and an adapter so you can use your stock clutch setup)
