1LE Alluminum driveshaft
I know I`ve read a thread or two about this in the past but I just got mine on today. I really didnt expect to notice a differance.I keep telling myself its all in my head but It seems to be a noticeable differance I`ve had this thing in the garage for months and wasnt really concerned about it but I`m really glad I put it on.I wouldnt have even bought it if I hadnt gotten a good deal on it.I`m fairly impressed with it.

Re: 1LE Alluminum driveshaft
Well not sure about any seat of the pants performance gains, but when I put my aluminum drive shaft in I got out of a GTA my car felt smoother, less vibration. The first time I drove with it the difference was noticable by the time I was in second gear. I paid $40 for mine and put one u-joint on it. Figured I couldn't go wrong for that price.

Yeah I`m not saying it makes my car faster really but it does feel quicker or maybe a lil better throttle response.

Re: 1LE Alluminum driveshaft
but does it seem worth $100-$150? because those are the only prices I ever see them at.

I would say yes.I paid about 150 shipped of of ebay.I`d be willing to bet it`s better than a more expensive cold air kit and some more expensive suspension parts.Dont know if my aluminum rear drums add to it to help but I`d say it`s one of the better mods I`ve done lately.Pick up seems instantaneous and seems to pull harder especially in its power band.Compared to what they cost new in the aftermarket sounds like a decent deal too me.

Re: 1LE Alluminum driveshaft
Search the bone yards, on and off line. A few years ago I sold 60+ of these shafts. My average buying price was $80, which is what I paid for the one in my car. I once had one shipped to me for $30. For what it's worth, the JG1 was installed in GM performance cars. I'm using a GM lightweight flywheel in front of the JG1. Pretty cool, I guess.

Re: 1LE Alluminum driveshaft
I searched all over for mine. The bone yards here have hardly any third gens and the ones you find are picked clean or too trashed to use much of anything.I bid on many on ebay and this went much cheaper than the others I bid on.It was right at my maximum bid thats about as much as I was willing to spend.I`ve been looking at/for the lightweight/aluminum fltwheels and they are pretty pricey.Havnt seen one I`m willing to pay for yet.
