Help 700R4 Aux Valve Body

Help 700R4 Aux Valve Body
I need to know if the aux valve body check ball is sappose to have a clip to keep it in place? the one from my 91 camaro 3.1V6 has one it and the one im putting back together out of 88 4.3l 4x4 after swapping output shafts does not have a clip to hold it in place and the holes are not the same. the only #'s that are different are one has G-4 the other G-2. Please any help would be greatful its the last thing I need to do before putting into car with the motor

Its not on every one. If it didnt have it, reassemble it that way.

Yes, no clip to hold ball in. Make sure that you install a ball into the auxilliary valve body housing if one isn't being held in place by the clip. You can use assembly lube to hold the check ball in place while you install the housing back onto the transmission. Like I said all aux. housings require a ball whether they are held in by a clip or not.

Thank You again and thats what I did. Im going to put the motor and tranny in today so im getting closer
