i have an 89 burban i purchased for the 350 motor but here in the last few days third gear went out in my camaro .... what provisions do i need to make for me to make the 700r4 out of the suburban work for the camaro....

it should be the same i think you just have to change the back tail shaft for the tourqe arm mount

i guess I'm just gonna have to get this thing overhauled again..... though this time i'm going to be cheap...

 

if u have the old one its only 4 bolts do it your self

i thought there was going to be a big difference in the length of housing but the camaro housing is 1/4 in longer the than the suburban.. 89 to a 91 should have the same number of splines i think ...... any ideas or comments

 

If it's a 2wd 700R4, all you gotta do swap the tail housings out and the governor too. When the tranny in my Bird went south, my buddy gave me a 700R4 out of an '85 2wd Silverado P/U. I had that tranny in the car for 10 months before I found the 4L60('91 Z-28) that's in it now.
