Re: tranny help
Check with Summit or Jeg's. TCI and Painless Wiring both make lock up kits for non ECM controlled 700R4s. Also search through some of the old threads, because it's been discussed before, and you could save money by making your own kit. The prices for these lock-up kits range from $80 to $130. Member

Re: tranny help
the 700r4 most likely has a normally open(or NO) 4th switch, and a two wire tcc. if this is the case you can run the black wire from the tcc sol to the 4th switch and the red to a th400 1 wire connector. Just run a power through a toggle with a brake switch interrupt and you can lock any time the trans is in 4th gear if you like. The th400 connector approx. $5.. and there should be enough wire inside the trans to make the splices. This is cheap eh? No matter how hard you try it won't lock in any other gear because the 4th switch provides a ground to the circuit only in 4th- and all you need to do is add the power when it is in 4th. Make sense?

Exactly, just what Ed o said. I believe only the '83-84 700's were a wired a little different. Thread
