I have 82 Camaro with the v-6 and 4-speed. I found a 87 305 that did have a 5-speed. The 305 no longer has the transmission, but the bell housing and clutch assembly is still there. Does anyone know if the v-6 clutch will work with the v-8. I know the v-8 clutch won't work with the v-6 input shaft. Does anyone know of a clutch that would work with this combination? Does anyone think that this combination just won't work at all no matter what. I found a T-5 for $225 but I have a budget of $800 and the motor takes almost all of that.

does anybody know if the input shaft on this 4 speed is the same length as a V8 gearbox. Can he use this tranny with the V-8 bellhousing?
