Looked at a Borg Warner T-5 tranny?? I am not sure what it is out of, the guy said it was out of a mid 80's(85-86)305 camaro. Here are the numbers on it. On a barcode sticker there is the # WG-13-52-027. The other number cast on the side is either 13-52-060-909 or 13-52-066-903. It was kinda dirty. Anyone that can help or direct me to assistance it would be greatly appreciated.

 

That's a non-WC T-5. His description of the source of the trans is reasonably accurate.

Thanks for the help. Maybe you can help with something else. I found a web site that decodes the numbers. The # 1352027 states that it was on a camaro/ firebird 2.6L4. the other number shows it to be AWSF 1984, whatever that means. Can I assume that this tranny was not attached to a 305 but a V6 and therefore will not work on a 305.

 

I am not sure but, If you take out the speedo gear on the side how many teeth does it have and then what color is the one inside? just for my own interest. but, to see if it would work you need to count the input shaft splines.

 

Sorry to bring such an old thread back to the top, but I also show this 'AWSF 1984'. I bought it off e-bay from thirdgenparts (i'm pretty sure it was them). He claimed it was out of a 91 RS but from what I see its a 84 tranny? Does anyone know what the awsf means and if I am going to have problems putting this in my 91 Z28 with the 350.
