A little confused

Ok well I bought my 88 sport coupe with a 120MPH speedo, which took a crap on me after improperly removing it, so I picked up a 145 speedo from an IROC clone.
Right now as it is, it reads ten MPH slower than I'm actually going.
I've also read the sticky about changing the tranny gear in my T5, but it seems way too complicated for me right now, but when I eventually upgrade my rear end is there a certain gear ratio I can switch too that would remedy this?
its not a problem as of right now since its pretty consistently 10MPH slower but it would be great to know if I can kill two birds with one stone here.

No remedy. With 3.08's you're eventually going to have to swap the drive/driven gears for any rear end 3.23 up.
