3.73 or 4.10 with t56

Id like to hear from some people who have done the swap. I have a t56 and a 3.08 right now and I have to ride the clutch. Should I go with the 3.73's or should I go with some 4.10's. I have a HD Zexel Posi So i should be able to keep decent traction. My motor is a zz430 with the Hotcam, Holley 750 Vaccumm secondary Carb. I have some new 3.73's richmond gears sitting here in a box but I could Always sell them and get 4.10's

I think the 4.10 would be the way to go. I have 3.70's and have to go through the lights in 3rd

I would go with the 4.10 gear set. I put that in my rear with a t-5 tranny and loved the difference it made. I have a mechanical speedo and it threw the mph way off. I found a guy that hooked me with a box that screws onto the tranny and the cable screws into it. Fixed my problem. The speedo is correct now.

I have 3.73's with the t-56. With a 26" tall tire, I go through the traps in 3rd gear also. 4.10's would be the way to go, I will be upgrading soon. Plus, while cruising around town six gear is pretty much usless.

If I were doing it (which I will be in a couple of months) I would definately go with the 4.10's. Because that gear has a good cruise RPM in a 5-speed and then with another gear forget about. thats it go with
5.10's!!!! j/k

1983Z28 350w/ edelbrock performer RPM power package with 64cc aluminum heads, dynomax shorty headers, 700R-4 with shift kit, 750cfm carb, edelbrock 3" exhaust system, ASCD SS hood, 16" IROC rims.

future mods:
completely done over suspension, black paint with flames, Hurst shifter, dakota digital gauge package, procharger supercharger.

The richmond 4.10's are on the way. Thanks for so many replies and responding so fast. I had a 10% off coupon that ran out tomorrow so I orderd today. The guy at summit said, On his computer he had a note that some Torsen Posi carriers had to have some light grinding done on them. And some had to use c clip eliminators. Any idea what he was talking about. I hope I dont have to grind on the Posi. I dont know why I would have to use c eliminators. I have Axles from drivetrain direct and they fit just fine.

It should fit. any steeper gears would need the two peice pin but, I know from pulling 4.11 gears from an s-10 that the pin barely misses the ring gears teeth pulling it out. but, does miss.
