Installing a B&M Ripper, have ?
OK, I came to the conclusion that installing my new B&M Ripper in my 83 TA would be a lot easier if I could remove the console... that could be done if I could figure out how to get the #@%&! emergency brake handle up all the way. Can anyone offer any advice for removing the top part of the console?

You will need to undo the adjuster or unhook the cable (if it doesn't have an adjuster) under the car in the driveshaft tunnel. Then you can get the lever up all the way.

Is is possible to lay the seat backs down and then carefully swivel the console top toward the both doors so that the top can be manoeuvred over the brake handle?
