got a vette servo "kit" for $3 today, have a question

sitting in front of me I have the housing, which has a large fat *** o-ring (is it supposed to be very fat?) then I have the servo itself. The small end has a plastic ring in it for a seal, and the large end has the same type of seal but it is split to remove/install it. Is this split supposed to be there? Also, is there anything else i need, such as new washers or retainers? I dont have the cover o-ring cause the bastard didnt send it to me. But at least he screwed up and only charged $3 for everything. Actually it was $2.86 but hey whos counting?
