I was just wondering... because of a shift kit I installed, I kinda lost overdrive in my 700r4. So... when I'm driving down the highway, my RPMs are higher. Would I get better gas mileage going 55 mph at 3,750 RPM or going 65 at 2,250 RPM?

Please give more detail. There is some confusion. You say you installed a Shift Kit and lost O/D then at the bottom you say you installed a Shift Improver Kit. WHich is it?

 

3750 at 55mph sounds like you lost drive as well(you are in second gear). Drive at 55mph with 3.73's will get you 2900rpm.

sounds like there's something wrong with your trans. by the way saving money on gas mileage won't help if you have to pay a spending ticket, just ask SLVR 28

I still have all 4 gears, it's just that since I installed the Shift Kit, it won't go into overdrive (driving at under 2000 RPM) and the shift's are at 4000-4200 RPM.
