Pro Built Mech. HELP! Where the hell did these wires come from ?

What are the three wires that are comming off my tranny?!? The tranny is stamped with MD8 and I have no idea what year it was made because the sticker was ripped off. The wires are orange-black, brown and I can't remember the last one but I'll update it later. Well some how these wires all shorted and melted! and in the exact same place as if something metal cut them and sat there untill they melted but it's above the tranny unexposed to the street! HELP!!!!!

No, the tranny would be fine. I would worry about the computer though because in the rare instance the tan (lockup ground) shorted to the 12v wire, it would shurly do something bad, but since the power wire just shorted on the case, your ok. The 12v comes off the brake pedal switch. You may have popped the fuse.

SOB! That could have been caused by another problem! I guess it waould have been about 2-3 weeks before the tranny went on me. I had a problem with the electrical system. The door chime would ring when ever, the volts and tach were fuc#ed up and the rear defrost wouldn't workwith out a new fuse and my foot on the break when I started the car!
