Th 700 R-4 Shiffting Q's

My car is well serviced and I have all the records for it. The reason I bought the damn thing to begin with. I do not have any records of the transmission fluid being changed. The mechanic that has serviced this car since day one has said the fluid is fine. However I don't trust mechanics.... if they say its fine they mean ' It will run for another 30 days and then when it breaks I will put in a new trans just for you.!! '
Okay lets get to the point: My car when I put it in 1st gear is nice and fast but when it shifts in to 2nd it jerks really hard. I don't even shift ether..... it stays in 1st and goes right to second with out me shifting.
Second thing is that when I go from reverse to drive, neutral to drive, or park to reverse, ect it makes a big jerk. I go flying foward sometimes if it has been running for a week or so.
Anyone have any help for me? I think its the fluid in the trans. However I am only in Hi-Po **** and never took the time to learn the basics....... sucks to be me right now.
Any and all help is most appreciated.
Thanks,
Erik

Most 700's will shift from first to second with the shifter in first I think to prevent over revving. The big jerk when put in gear may be a high engine idle. Harsh first to second shift might be a broken accumulator spring. Just my guesses.

My car used to jerk going from reverse to 1st and when I started looking for the problem I found my transmition mount was broke. Also you might want to change your fluid and check your filter for any metal shavings.
