Re: 350 and t5
If I'm not mistaken, the T5 in an f-body is rotated at the bell housing, and the one from a 4.3 S-10 is not. If you get the correct bell housing, it may work, but I've been wrong before.

Re: 350 and t5
No they will not work the shifter is in different locations on the T5. You would have to change alot of pieces and parts out...

Re: 350 and t5
I would make sure you get a WC T5 from a V8. From what people say the V6 T5 won't last with a V8. I dont think they are even splined the same. Also I know they have many different T5s some are hydraulic and some are not. Flywheels will also be different model to model. Unless you know it will all work I would find a V8 car close to the same year you have at the junk yard and pull the whole setup. That would be a good start.

Re: 350 and t5
I have a rebuilt one from a v6 camaro but its a 93. It has never been ran at all or installed since the rebuild. It is set up with a 26 spine input shaft and a 2.74 first gear. it is the AOD style bellhousing mount so a aftermarket bellhousing would be needed...250 bucks
Re: 350 and t5
i found this on another thread
It can and has been done quite easily as long as it's a third gen 82-92 v6 trans with 14 spline input.
What you need:
V8 Bell housing
V8 pressure plate for 10.5" clutch
standard pilot bushing/bearing
standard fork
regular linkage or hydraulic setup
1" 14spline 10.5" clutch disc
The clutch disc can be ordered from www.advanceadapters.com PN#716104. on the left side of the page click clutch components and then clutch discs. Once the clutch discs page loads it's on page 2 second last part. $120.75
is it true you can reuse the clutch from the 2.8? the guy i bought the car from sd he used the clutch off his 2.8 and put it behind the 383 he droped in there and ran the t5, i just want the car to move and spin the tires a little bit, not lookin to drop a bunch of money on this engine and trans its not what is gonna stay in the car. im building a big block and want to build it right the first time.
also can you use the fork and bushings from the 2.8 set up? spied a 5sp 2.8 camero on top of the pile at a buddies scrap yard
