Mcleod MC and Howe TOB

I'm getting ready to put my car back together and was intending to use the Mcleod adjustable master clutch cylinder with a Howe Hydraulic throw out bearing. My concern is that the Howe installation instructions demand an MC with 3/4" bore. The Mcleod is a 1".

My concern is that I'll over-extend the release bearing. I called Howe and the tech there said that they put in a 'c'-clip to prevent this and that it would probably be OK..but maybe not.

Can I 'adjust' this possibility away or am I better to put this MC up for sale and buy the Ram 3/4" one?

Thanks,
Jon
