Vette Servo, any good?

Whats so special about these things?
How much are they, how hard are they to install, and what should I expect from it?

It has a larger apply area for second gear and will give firmer 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Not everybody really needs one but allot of people hear about them so they put them in. It isn't that hard to do but it can be a pain in a Camaro. Cost is probably about $20-30.

I installed the Vette servo on my car, along with the Vette's TV boost (its smaller than the .500 vavle) as did I replace the regulator spring. I did this because I like how the vette shifts. Its real smooth at low throttle, like your grandmother's Buick, but when you get into the gas, its super firm.

Heres a quick "how to" to install the servo. servo install I would also recoment the spring and valve, GM Part numbers: 8639164 & 8634940

Of course, you could just get a "shift kit", but I am very pleased with what I have.
