Full Pressure shifts???

Is there any way to adjust the 700R4 without taking it apart to make it shift at full pressure all the time?

That would shorten the life of both the tranny and the motor plus probably not give you what you are thinking it would (really hard shifts).

How would it shorten the trans life? Less clutch slippage = longer life. I know that it would shift hard. That's my whole goal. I can't get the damn TV adjusted right or I have more engine than the trans was designed for because I'm slipping the hell out of it on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.
I forgot to mention that it will shift really hard at part throttle at about 2500-3000 RPM, but not at full throttle and I've adjusted the TV cable about a thousand times.

Ah, the old saw about more pressure=longer trans life.

First off, if low pressure is what is causing a slip then higher pressure may fix it BUT if it isn't what have you accomplished? Well, for one, it requires more HP to drive the pump in the tranny (less to power the car). Second, the higher pressure in the tranny tends to take out crank thrust bearings (bet you never thought of that one) and three, can reduce lubrication in the tranny (shorter life)and four, the higher pressure not only creates more wear and tear on the pump but also on the components applied by it inside the tranny. Increased pressure is fine if and when it is needed, that is why there are boost valves inside the tranny. In fact, the 700 uses a variable displacement pump to further reduce drag on the engine! Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel I would suggest that you use a product developed by experts who are more interested in the tranny lasting longer, than any thing else. Get a TransGo Reprogramming Kit and if the inside of the tranny isn't too far gone it will be more than enough for your engine.
