remove the drive shaft
scribe a mark on the nut and on something for referance, also i'd measure the amount of the pinion shaft sticking out of the nut with a depth mike or dial caliper
remove pinion nut
remove drive shaft yoke
remove seal
install seal and put grease on the rubber part
install yoke
install NEW pinion nut
match up referance marks
install drive shaft

I would recomend turning the pinion nut a little bit past the refrence mark to crush the crush sleeve a little bit more. Make sure you have a good way to hold the yoke and tighten the nut. They take somewhere around 300lb-ft. Impacting the nut on is not an option.

This is a realy stupid question but where do i put the oil in the rearend? i thought it was supposed to have a bolt on top of the pumpkin but it doesnt. it just has a hole. in my manual it shows a thing sticking out of "the hole" called a vent but it aint there. i found a thing on the side that you can stick a ratchet in but i wasnt sure if that was the hole to fill it with. where the hell do you fill the rearend at!?
