WHAT TRANNY DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR CAR
I thought this would be interesting..What brand transmission do you have in your cars..The reason i ask is i pulled my v6 today and noticed it has a Borg-Warner five speed under it ..is this common for these cars..always thought that was a race tranny...i have an 88 Firebird

must be a lot of pedal cars out there noone knows what tranny they have

Borg-Warner is probobly the largest transmission company, they made the high performance T-10 4-speed for the Corvette in 1956. Borg-Warner is the only brand of trans offered in our cars as far as i know-might be wrong. Google works.They also make the T-56 in the later model Camaro, Cobra, and Viper- someone correct me if i'm wrong. I have a Borg-Warner 5-speed, but its rebuilt with G-Force internals which is supposed to handle 600 crank hp. I also have a 9-bolt Borg-Warner rearend, which is better than the regular 10-bolt with the larger 7 3/4" ring gear. Somebody knows more than i do maybe they'll chime in.
