700R4, Kickdown Valve?????

I had a tranny rebuild about 5k miles ago. Before I didn't have OD, I think because the owner before me installed one of those kickdown valves that allows you to cruise in OD at high speed. Well anyway he wired up some switch I guess to activate it. But when I got my tranny rebuild I figured the guy took it out. But I was thinking the other night that I can cruise in OD at WOT. So I figured he didn't take it out. So I fooled with the switch and when I come to a stop in OD the car acts like it wants to stall for then idles fine. It shifts kind of weird as well, not that that matters I have shift slippage on the 1-2 and the rpm's flare up on the 2-3. I was wondering what this switch does.

First set your TV cable as transfixleo says in his posts. If you do this and still have 1-2 slide and the 2-3 flare, make sure the Corvette servo was installed, because this should have solved the problem. If not I would talk to the people that built the transmission about this. The switch has to do with the torque converter lockup only.
Hope This Helps!!!

I haven't had the corvette servo installed yet, I got it after the rebuild but I am going to have this guy install the servo soon. Are you sure the switch is for the TC lockup, it was there when I first got my car, and now I believe that the guy who rebuilt my tranny told my Dad that he put in a hydraulic NON lockup TC. By the way I also have the TV cable set the way transfixleo describes.
Back to that switch, if it is indeed for the TC, would it cause a stalling type feel when slowing down while downshifting.
