Just want a posi?

I have a 92 camaro with 2.73 gears and a limited slip differential. how much would a posi be? who sells them? and how hard are they to install? thanks.

i think it was slp had a posi for 100 dollars and instructions on their web site to install them. if you keep the same gear set it's pretty easy to install a posi.

I could be wrong here, but GM calls it's version of a limited slip differential "Posi-traction". So if you have limited slip you have a positraction rearend already.

My T/A has the RPO code "G80" and it is described as "AXLE POSITRACTION, LIMITED SLIP."

Yeah,check your RPO code. Mine is G80 also and is listed as G80 - POSITRAC/TRACTION CNTRL

Limited Slip is a possi or possitraction GM's name for it.

The SLP posi is a 3-series carrier and as such won't work with a 2.73 gear. You're going to have to find one in the boneyard, or get a new one from GM or elsewhere.

Great pics of your T/A cg91TA. I have a 92 T/A and it looks almost identical. The only diff I can see is that I have Gold Wheels (yours appear silver colored in the pics). And the door logo is just a little different. I wasn't aware they were so close.
