They are prolly the best replacement gears on the market. Make sure to get street gears as the high nickel drag race gears wear too fast.

They are made exactly for what you probably plan to do with them (racing) so you shouldn't have any problems. Most premature failures can be traced back to improper setup/break-in so make sure you follow the directions VERY CAREFULLY and fill out the warranty card. I have had no problems w/ mine, nor do I know anybody personally that has either. Good luck.

I have the richmond 3.73's in my car, they were really noisy at first, then as they broke in they quited down alot... still a little noisy, but they are holding up nice!

My 3.73's have always been pretty quiet. Like they said, break-in and set-up is critical. The instructions have the break-in procedure. It amounts to driving it a little bit, let it cool off, and repeat.

------------------
350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, current red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

I have Richmond 4:10 ring and pinion in my 70 Chevelle and they work fine. Even with 350 + Hp. I bang on em pretty hard and this is almost a 4000# car. Never had any noise either. I did not install them myself though I had a N/W Differential do the install. If your not familiar with this swap I would suggest having the pro's do it.
