Corvette Servo question Please Help.

I just had a Corvette servo put into my 89 700R4 tranny today...The trans already had a B&M Shiftkit in it, and shifted pretty good...With the new servo the 1 to 2 shift is weaker than it was, it is much like it was before the shift kit was installed...Any ideas on what could have went wrong???? It came with new o rings, could one have been left out??? Thanks for any help on this subject.....Tom

Re: Corvette Servo question Please Help.

Well the problem was incorrect instalation...It now shifts very hard.....There was a small pin that was not installed correctly, or not at all......Tom

Re: Corvette Servo question Please Help.

Super servos are where its at...not much more then a corvette servo from what I remember but mine has been in for 3 years now.

It sounds to me they just didn't get the spacing right. if the pin was not installed at all then you would not have had a 1-2 shift. The servo you had replaced applies the 2nd gear band via fluid pressure and that pin. when you buy a super servo for example they give you a spacer to allow you to get the proper length needed.

Thanks for this post!
