I need 4th gear

Does any one no how to get a 700r4 trany to shift into 4th gear at wide-open throttle. I have an 87 iroc w/ 305 tpi 700r4 and 3,70 9 bolt rear and I need my over drive for the track. How can I get into it @ wot?

Find a good Chevy dealer and ask for the Police PKG 3-4 TV Valve assy. Skip the famous throttle plunger everyone talks about.

Car: 86 Z28

Engine: 350 TPI

Transmission: 700R4

Axle/Gears: 3.23

The GM part no. is 8673948. If you do install this part you will have to recalibrate the governor and the 3-4 shift timing spring because it will go into overdrive to early and bog down the motor.
