transmison fluid...

do you change it or just add more ? and what type would be good with a 305TBI?

Dexron III and change the filter at this time too. Remember to take the filter seal out too.

i heard that if you change it, and its never been changed, then your tranny goes apeshxt and doesnt cooperate, cant imagine that being pretty.

That is when you have stinky varnished oil, such as Type F. If yours is essentially OK and not too dirty.
