dana44 axle length -HELP

so i picked up a dana44 for a third gen, and some 373's for it, but it has a bent axle, so i pulled both axles to replace them and went to order new ones from moser, but i can't find the lengths listed anywhere online and im not sure how to measure them. do i measure from where the bearing sits to the end with the splines? or from end to end?

thanks! alex

Re: dana44 axle length -HELP

there should be a diagram on mosers website showing you how to measure the axles. Or call and see what they want.

Re: dana44 axle length -HELP

You won't find an off the shelf axle for a third gen Dana 44 because it's not a production diff. Since you already have an axle except that it's bent, pull it out and measure it then get a custom axle made to replace it.

Moser has a custom axle order sheet on their web site what tells you what to measure.
