Shift kit issues

Well i just bought this new car that has a full shift kit in it, the thing shifts really hard and is not good for daily driving so i want to take it out. What part do i need to make the tranny shift like it did stock, by the way its a TH-350 tranny.

Unless you have really low gearing then you likely have a B&M VB kit and not a genuine Shift Kit. You would be wise to go to either the TransGo Shift Kit or their Reprogramming Kit and go with the -1 setup. It will give you short firm shifts but not parts breaking type shifts and at WOT it will be quite firm. It actually fixes weak points in the tranny instead of bringing them out.

That is exactly what i want cause right now it won't shift out of first till like 4500 rpms, how much is the reprogramming kit? and to switch them out all i have to do is drop the tranny pan and then the filter correct?

Sounds like you have a bad/misadjusted or disconnected vacuum modulator.

i just remembered it does a weird thing where if i leave it in drive and floor it in 1st gear it'll shift into 2nd then it'll shift into 3rd really early like around 3500 rpms even if i have it floored, could that be a bad modulator???

Now I'm getting confused. In one post you say it shifts at 4500 and another you say 3500. Is it shifting at different RPM for 2nd than 3rd?

Here is a link for the 350 or 350C Reprogramming Kit. It doesn't list the Shift Kit but if yo need one I have some (and I have the Reprogramming Kit's too for that matter).

Sorry for the confusion it shifts out of 1st no matter what how much gas you give it at 4500 rpms but then if you're still flooring the gas into 2nd it'll shift at around 3500 rpms cause it to be pretty low in the rpms into 3rd gear. Also i took a closer to look to find out there's a vacuum line that is not hooked up on either side (i have no clue how its not been knocked off the engine and on to the ground yet) but it started at the carb and looks like it goes to the passenger side of the tranny is this the modulator vacuum mentioned above???

There is a vacuum modulator at the back, passenger sie of the tranny. It must have vacuum going to it. Check there first.
