Where is your clutch safety switch and how is it connected? I bought one and I can't find a way to mount it. It's like a black boxy switch with a rather large rectangle button that gets pressed in.

if its the factory switch, it mounts under the clutch pedal, there should be a tab on the pedal that hits the switch. I think. I can get a pic of mine tommorow.

the black box that you have is for the 4th gen setup. 3rd gens use a white box(attached to the pedal frame) with a plastic rod that is connected to the pedal.

Re: If you have a manual transmission come in!
later model 3rd gens have the large black box switch.
earlier ones must have used the white box w/ sliding rod mentioned.
Those pedals are 82-83. Get some w/ the provisions for the black box style switch and the hydraulic master cylinder rod (tab welded to clutch pedal.)

I didn't have any trouble hooking the master cyl. rod up to these pedals....are there possibly minute differences that I may be bending the rod or messing something up?

INCREDIBLY frustrating. I didn't even know there were different pedals out there. My swap is completed and I've been driving for a couple weeks now, forget the CSS, no way I'm taking those pedals out again. Maybe I'll try and fab something up down the road.

Just crimp the wires together and know your car. I never liked the CCS. At least make sure your e-brake works good and remember to put in neutral first.
