I have an 88 Iroc-Z 350 TPI with 700R4 tranny. Car has been sitting for years and noticed that the TV cable wasn't even attached to the throttle body cuz the little black retainer that holds it on is broken. Rigged it with copper wire to hold it on. Tried adjusting the TV cable by pushing it all the way back into the housing then steppin all the way down on gas pedal. Problem is, car will shift from 1st to 2nd at 4500 rpm, but then when rpm reaches about 5000, it almost seems like it shift back down or somethin again cu rpm sky rockets. Any suggestions. Car shift fine before having these problems.
