T-5 hydraulic line replacement

Hey guys, I need some help and suggestions for my T-5 swap. I just bought the parts for my swap a couple days ago and when we traded our transmissions we let each other know what was wrong with them.

He told me, and showed me, that one of the fittings for the hydraulic line between the master and slave cylinders. I need to replace this fitting, but I would rather completely replace the entire line and both fittings with something more practical.

What I want to know is...is there a way to form some stainless steel/mild steel tubing to fit the o-ring inside the assembly and still be retained by the roll-pin and also be crimped to some high pressure flexible rubber line like brake line? I would like to make this a replacement/upgrade rather than dung through fields of cars from the scrapyard just to find parts even older than mine just waiting to break too.

Thanks for any suggestions.
