LOL, you did that and want to know if a T5 can do better? LULZ.

Man, a T56 has gone 8s over and over with the mods dont to it. That is what you need to do.

Re: T5 strengthing

Doesn't matter about time in the quaurter, neither the t56 or t-5 will hold up to 900hp in any form. I this is gonna be a straight racer look into a Lenco Trans, or if it is gonna see the street shy a way from a lenco and look into the aftermarket i'm sure you could find something to hold up that kind of power. But there is no way a T5 of T56 will hold up to that kind of power.

Re: T5 strengthing

Check into a Tremec TKO-600 or a Richmond Super Street 5-speed . Both can handle the 600 # of torque you have . The Richmond has two versions 1- 3.33 first or 2-2.89 first and both have a 1.85 2nd , 1.31 3rd , 1.1 4th , and .77 od . The TKO-600 also has two versions 1st 2.87 , 2nd 1.89 , 3rd 1.28 , 4th 1.00 , and 5th .64 or .82 . The prices from JEGS is $2,195.99 for the TKO-600 or $3,503.99 for the Richmond Super Street .

x2

I've built T56s that are holding up to those power levels without problems.

Wrong, a T56 can be made to handle 1200 HP.
