Hits Neutral @ 125mph????

Specs:

350 - Bored .060 over (360)
Mild Cam
Forged Internals
Head Work

TCI Racing 700r4
Manual\Automatic Valve Body
Torque Converter Specs are evading my mind right now

3:73's

Problem:

During a top speed run on a private course (cough, cough) I came into a lil issue... At 125mph (4k'ish rpm), the nose sank and the tranny noticably went into neutral - pegging the R's... I figured the tranny blew, considering that and there was no engine braking while the rpm's receded... Around 90mph though, 4th gear came back to life and the normal decelerating growl screamed in my ears again... I reset and tried it once more with the same results... WOT shifts are firm 1st-4th and still drives strong\normal as it sits; it's only seeing issues beyond 125mph...

I'm clueless to what the issue could be, this car has seen 140+ with no prior problem... Any thoughts guys??

The valvebody was pre-installed by TCI as part of a package deal I purchased thru them... This set-up has a little over 30k of heavily spirited driving, with no prior issue...

Side Note: The first run was shifted, the second was in full auto - both resulting in the same problem...

Do you have a lockup converter? Do you notice any lockup action in normal street driving? IIRC, the TPI ECM code has a force lock up around 125mph... You're not hitting a Speed limiter (ECM or MSD) are you?

Titan.. Was the converter locked up at this point? There is a couple of things that could cause this to happen. You have been driving it around fairly normal since? Has it experienced any slipping? Any converter shudder when it locks up?

Check the fluid level. This could be as simple low fluid, and the transmission is beginning to starve at that MPH.
