Pro 5.0 shifter install

I am reinstalling my pro 5.0 shifter in a 1991 T5. I lost my install papers that had the torque specs and install instructions. Does anyone have these or know where I can find a pdf for them

You need instructions to install a shifter? If you absolutely need instructions, contact Pro 5.0. Otherwise, it's an extremely easy install. Just don't overtighten the bolts into the transmission, the case is aluminum and it will strip if you're not carefull. Once it's on, put the shifter into 3rd gear and push it all the way forward, adjust the front stop till it touches the shift lever, then snug the locknut. Do the same in 4th gear.

That's it. Simple.

Yeah, you should only torque the bolts to about 20 ft. lbs. It's also a good idea to degrease the mounting flange of the trans with brake parts cleaner, then put a thin bead of Loctite 518 type sealer on there before you bolt it down. A lot of guys just use RTV, which works OK, but Loctite 518 is the best stuff to use. Then just adjust your shift stops the way Drew said.

I know its easy to do, I installed it about 4 years ago then switched back to stock. The reason I wanted the instructions is for the torque specs so I dont overtighten.
Also, I never cut the inner boot when i did it before and this time I think I will so it shifts better. The instructions had a template for that with the size of the circle to cut.
