i have a 89 rs 305 / manual tranny my plan is a crate motor from blueprint built 383 stroker should be about 400 hp 450 torque. fifth gear is kicking out and i was thinking if i gotta go in there i might as well rebuild anyway would it be worth it and can that tranny even handle that much hp? or would it be a better investment to just buy a t-56? also if i do buy the t-56 will i have to get a new driveshaft?
