700R4 2,100 RPMs @ 70mph?

I keep reading various web forums saying that this is right. What do you think? What does your car do at a flat 70? It just seems pretty high as I watch my gas needle go down lol

63mph(ish) is 1900 for me (3.27/700R4)

That is just the one I've paid any attention to, at cruising speed on the highway.

If your hitting 3000rpm@70mph, I bet your OD is out.....I bet in D/3rd gear...I'd get 3000rpm too. Or are you running gears like 4.56s?

I watched mine this afternoon.....At 70mph, I got 2100/2200. Hard to exactly read a gauge while driving & watching out for the other cars. But I'd say the OPs gauge is showing correctly.

Well I started my own thread on here about it, but my torque converter is working, but I dont think its working right, or I'm not going into 4th gear. Im so confused.
