Who has a tick master cylinder???????
Who has a tick master cylinder???????
The stock master cylinder has an angle pointing it upward toward the heim joint on the clutch pedal. How did you overcome this angle when using the tick? It obviously isn't even close to lining up when you come straight through the firewall. Can you simply weld another peg lower onto the pedal assembly so its level with the master? Or would that allow way too much 'throw'? Or do I have to fab a mount that creates the angle it had before? I need some help and pics if you got them, thanks a bunch!!!

I'm assuming your speaking of Tick Perfromance in the Charlotte, Nc area? I know nothing about it, but they are supposed to be a very reputable shop - did you ask them?
Re: Who has a tick master cylinder???????
I didn't buy their piece. The tick is made from a tilton master so I just bought the tilton. All I need is fittings for the slave line and it will save me about $200 over buying the tick. I just want to see how others have installed them since the mounting surface is flat instead of angled like the stock unit.

I'm bringing this thread up from the dead.
I'm almost in the same boat as the OP, so I am curious as well.
I'm switching from auto to manual so need to find the best way to drill/mount it on.

Re: Who has a tick master cylinder???????
I've got a home made bracket just for this application. Its a compount angle thats required, so it definately takes some trial and error to get the angle just right for the master cylinder to clear.
Here's an MS paint diagram I made 6+ years ago. This bracket is 100% bolt on, and I have had zero issues with it over the years with both my 383/T56 combo and my new LS1/T56 combo. The Tilton works great and NEVER cause any wacky shifting issues.
