87 700-R4 plug same as 93?

Need a trans to put into my 1993 T/A until I can rebuild the original 4l60 (non-electric 700R4). There's a guy with a 87 for sale. Just wondering if the plug on the 87 is the same as the plug on the 93? Anyone know?

The 1993 is all its own. The valve body has 3 switches and uses a 5 prong plug. The 1987 has 1 switch and a 3 prong plug. The valve body, separator plate and governor would have to be changed on to the 1987 to make it work. The 1993 is a much better unit to start with if you decide to build one of them.

Okay. Thanks. What about the 90-92s can I go with them, or is the 1993 one of a kind with nothing like it?

1987 - 1992 are one type and the 1993 is another type.
