Car shifts bad now
First and foremost... NEVER LET YOUR FRIENDS NEAR YOUR CAR!
So today I was pulling apart the door panel on my car to fix some rattles and see why my door latch was sometimes giving me problems, and my friend phoned me to see what I was up too and came over. Then my disorganized self couldn't find the right bolt to hold the door handle thing in place, so I ran to the barn/shop to look for one, come back about 10 minutes later and my friends like "Your clutch pedal seems stiff for some reason"
I guess his dumbass decided it would be fun to repetitively shift into the gears with and without the clutch, Im guessing with pumping the clutch more than several times and a ton of gear slamming
Now the problem is when I took it out to school when I was done fixing it (he was long gone, had a class) and now the car shifts really bad. It doesn't pop in or out of gear on its own, and Im not even 100% positive if the clutch feels any different, but now all the gears especially first and reverse feels hard to get into. Also when I shift I can hear and feel it it clunk into gear and it feels almost like metal on metal. The shifter feels really notchy and loose now and before it was tight no sounds or problems, so Im pretty sure its something he screwed up and will be paying for.
Sorry for the long rant, but what do you think is wrong and what should I be checking first?

Re: Car shifts bad now
Yeah probably is for sure... Funny thing is now though the car was shifting all notchy yesterday, but was smooth like butter today again.
If it happens again I think Ill just take it to a shop and see what they think.
