ok heres the situation i have a 91 rs 305 yesterday i lost 3rd gear with no warning signs i wasnt ******* it racing or anything of that sort just simply accelerating and as she tried shifting into 3rd from 2nd all i could do was rev. i had to drive home with it manually shifted into 2nd gear... thus being the reason i do not trust automatic trans. so im converting to a t5. now my question is.... my car was originally a 5 speed from the dealer i have the original papers on the car window sticker and all and it shows it was originally a 3.1 v6 manual trans. then upgraded when purchased to a 305 auto. so would the firewall cut out still be there for the peddle assy? or would it help me in any way?

regardless im doing this conversion so any pointers would be nice i know what im getting into ive done them before but only on front wheel drive cars. thank you.
