Stage 2 or 3 shift kit
I was starting to look at some of these other camaros with the B&M stage 2 and 3 shift kits and noticing how well they take off and how fast they get up there. So I am wondering where (other than the B&M website) can I get my hands on the stage 3 (if not 3 then 2) shift kits? Anyone have an idea because my car is hesitant with shifting and when it does it kind of does it hard and slowly. So where do I get it? People keep talking about the stage 3s but I cant find them. By the way I have a 700R4 automatic. This video is what really intrigued me.

Summit racing carries B&M products. You also may want to check out TRANSGO shift kits, I have one and really like it. They make for a firmer shift and are better for your trans. with less slipping. Keep in mind your trans. has to be in good shape in the first place, these are not rebuild kits, just shift improver's.

Re: Stage 2 or 3 shift kit
So trans go is better then? I always hear from people how they will burn out in their camaro and they will chirp their tires going into second with just shift kits or being all stock. Considering my car is a stock 350 wouldnt it be able to do it too? People keep telling me my engine is missing and that I should replace the plugs and it will stop (still have not done it yet) so along with the type of shift kit I should get does anyone also have a recomendation on spark plugs?

Re: Stage 2 or 3 shift kit
the TransGo kit does entail some drilling of holes in the valve body itself (I'm presuming we're talking about 700R4). Also, it requires popping the servo to adjust the band.
I gotta admit the TransGo kit is very well thought-out and detailed. IMHO the instructions presume experience with shift-kit installs, but the picture explanations are excellent. the instructions also provide some suggestions for some upgrades, so don't be surprised if after getting the TransGo kit in-hand, you decide you need a few more parts.
make sure your servo cover is accessible. mine wasn't due to my LT headers.
my experience with B&M is that they don't have a "stage 2, stage 3", but their shift levels are described as street, strip, heavy duty, RV.

Re: Stage 2 or 3 shift kit
i dont see why a local shop wouldnt let you get the kit and take it in.. the might jack up the labor cost a bit on you since they wont be making any money off the parts.. but if your not comfy tearing into a valve body.. id really suggest having someone help you that has been into them before... theres not alot to them drill a few holes plug a few others.. basically your rerouting the fluid through the valve body because there were some flaws from factory
Re: Stage 2 or 3 shift kit
Go with the modified TransGo Performance Shift kit as it will give you smooth but quick part throttle shifts and quick and firm WOT shifts. This kit comes with the Corvette servo and the larger boost valves, and much more. Let me know if I can be of help here? Dana

Re: Stage 2 or 3 shift kit
Should I get new plugs first or should I get the shift kit first? My car is running rich and I have been told a few times my engine is missing so would the new plugs help fix that?

plugs should be one of the first things to replace, dont worry about a shift kit until your motor runs right!!
