Hurst Dual Gate Question

Hurst Dual Gate Question

Hello all-
I purchased a used dual gate shifter for my Iroc and can't for the life of me figure out how to install the shifting position switch (white tab). On the original shifter it sits into a slot, but on the Hurst Dual Gate there is no slot and the instructions are not that good. So now when I put it in gear the tab moves with the shifter to that position (Drive) and when I return it to Park the tab stays in Drive, until I manually place it back into Park (I have the cover off). I know I am just over looking something. Thanks for the help.

NO, I have no clue on how this is suppose to hook up? If I cant figure it out, I will just keep the position switch in the park position and not install it, so I can start my car. I would like to have it working though. I know someone on here has on installed and is working correctly. Since this is not my daily driver I have time to resolve the issue. Maybe I will write Hurst and try to get a resolution that way???? If you figure it out please let me know.

i had mine installed it was fine for a couple of months.then one day the car wouldn't start the white tab just keeps on dislodging

I have the Hurst instructions, they are just not specific on that part of the install.

How did you have it hooked up, because I have not even gotten that far? What did you end up doing?
