straight cut gearset for super t-10

so, the new motor is in and the old super t-10 is pretty much a ticking time bomb. theres no way its gonna be able to stand up to all the extra power, so im looking at other options. of course i like the m22, but i started thinking about it and decided that instead of doing all the mods to make that work id like to keep it as 'stock' as possible
so, i was wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket straight-cut gear set for the super t-10. muncie whine without all the mods!
i cant find anything on the google machine, so im turning to you guys!
Thanks-
JD

Not to be a downer and sway you away from those transmissions but there are much better options than 30+ year old technology. The t56 or TKO 500 or 600 will both withstand some serious power. I think the t56 is rated for 450 ft lbs and has the advantage of double overdrives while the tko 500 is ratted for 500 ft lbs and the 600 for 600 ft lbs. All three are fairly easy to put in our cars and give you the strength your looking for with overdrives and are a much more modern design of transmission than the muncie or t-10s. They were good back in their day but the modern day muncie is the T56 or TKO.

What is the new motor?

Super T-10's are pretty stout.

New motor is a 10.5:1 compression 406. Lunati voodoo cam, iron eagle heads, keith black pistons, eagle rods, lots of other goodies. Nothing is left stock. Haven't dynod yet, but estimating around 500trq

Hrmm. You know, depending on the cam, maybe. I think with those heads probably closer to 430 torque at the flywheel with no accessories.

With a 3.73 and a 26" tire the T-10 will be fine.

Re: straight cut gearset for super t-10

the cam is pretty lumpy, but like i said thats just an estimate (probly a tad optimistic)
rear is 3.92 posi
im sure the t-10 will be able to handle the power after its in gear, but power shifting is gonna be out of the question. also the gear ratio on my particular one is crap; first is waayy to deep
so a new trans is definitely in the future after i inevitably destroy this one

ST-10's were running in the 10's many years ago, and are stronger than the M22. The 2.64 & 2.43 first gear units were the best in terms of ET & MPH.

I was going to go there but, if the OP wants something different it's his choice.

Super T-10's with much heavier second gen camaro's and BBC's run 10's no problem.
