700r4 problem no 3rd/4th
so i have a 86irocz with a 350 tpi basicly stock i lost 3rd and 4th when going from 2nd to third it just goes neutral is this the tranny or bad torque convertor . should i rebuild it or put in th350 im planning on making the car a lil faster later maybe like 350horsepower or so and i want a long lastin tough tranny. or should i just buy a pre rebuilt 700r4 from

Maybe things are better for them lately - but I've never seen a good review of Monster trannies - I personally would stay away from it. If I were buying prebuilt, I'd have to get a Probuilt - they are a sponsor here, as well as a board member, and I've never seen a foul word about them.
If the tranny is a 1986, I wouldn't rebuild it - GM made some significant improvements in mid year 1987, so I'd snag a 1988+ 700R4 to build or swap in.

Sounds like 3-4 clutches are smoked, prob time for a rebuild. I would definitely talk to Dana at Probuilt, he's a stand up guy.
