another BW 9 bolt question

I just picked up a used BW 9 bolt rear end for my 85 IROC. Although the posi seems good still, I am going to replace the carrier and pinion bearings. By searching around the forum i have found good sources for the bearing kits, so no worries there. What i want to know is if the rebuild proceedure (shimming for pinion depth, gear contact patterns, etc.) is the same for the 9 bolt as it is for a 10 bolt. This will be my first attempt at rebuilding a rear end, so I want to get it right the first time. Also can anyone steer me to a good thread/sourse for the rebuild and assembly proceedure? Thanks..

Re: another BW 9 bolt question

There are multiple posts on this process but the best that I've seen is the following:

Or this one (nice photo):

Good Luck!
